LED ceiling lights are LED downlight fixtures installed in the ceiling to illuminate objects below. Thanks to their flush installation, the fixture will not impact on the ceiling style or interior architecture, blending seamlessly with the overall style of the building. LED ceiling lights are widely used for indoor commercial lighting, in applications such as museum lighting, hotel lighting, and office lighting.
How are LED ceiling lights used in hotel lighting?
Different areas of hotels will inevitably have different lighting requirements, and are often divided into high and low layer areas. Where a lighting designer is creating a scheme, they will specify LED ceiling lights according to the requirements of each individual space
LED ceiling lights have excellent applications in many different areas of hotel lighting, including the lobby and restaurants, corridors and guest rooms.
In a hotel vestibule, lobby, restaurant and other high-rise areas, LED ceiling lights are preferred with a height of H>6m. Other optimal features include embedded design, high power, and excellent illumination, with a large diameter and superior anti-glare performance. A small beam angle is popular, and the colour temperature can range from 2300K to 3500K. This will be selected according to the design style and desired atmosphere.
Hotel restaurant lighting is determined based on the height of the ceiling, alongside the required ambience and atmosphere. Colour temperature can vary between a more casual setting or a fine dining venue, while the angle and power is chosen to be most effective from the height.
In hotel corridors, guest rooms, bathrooms and other low layer areas, LED ceiling lights are preferred with a height of H ≤ 2.8m. This is enhanced with embedded design, low power, a small diameter and excellent anti-glare performance.
Hotel corridors are often lower in height than the lobby, and the corridor acts as a transition area for guests to enter their rooms from the hall. While the colour temperature of corridor lighting can match the colour temperature of the hall, a larger beam angle should be chosen to create a soft, uniform lighting effect that is not too concentrated.
Hotel room lighting aims to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. LED ceiling lights in 2700K LED are often selected, supplemented with spotlights to highlight key features. With the development of new light source technology, the size and power of LED ceiling lights in guest rooms have become smaller, while still meeting the lighting requirements of the area.
